People in water – 11/14/2016 – 19:46 to 19:55

At 1946hr a boat approaching the Whakatane bar reported seeing an upturned boat and 2 people in the water off Kohi Pt.The boat proceeded to pick up the people and all were safely back in the Whakatane river at 1955hr.An ambulance was requested and met the boat at the ramp.The boat was recovered on Coastlands Beach the next day.A big thank you to the good samaritan for a successful outcome.
