Ohiwa Bar – 08/09/2016 – 14:50 to 15:06

At 1450hr a member of the public reported that it appeared that a boat was in difficulties on the Ohiwa Bar. Whakatane Coastguard and the Police were notified and at 1504hr Whakatane Resuce was called out to assist. At 1505hr Police notified Coastguard that the boat in difficulties was safe. At 1506hr Whakatane Rescue was stood down.
