At 1612hrs a boat with 3 POB 7nms North of the Whakatane Bar reported an engine problem and requested a tow back to Whakatane.Sea conditions were good with a NNW wind of 5-7 kts and no significant swell.Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist.The vessel was located and both boats arrived safely back in the harbour at 1825hrs
