Motor – 12/27/2015 – 7:25 to

A 6m white boat reported engine problems 1.3nm north of Coastlands.  The engine would not start and it required a tow back to Whakatane. Sea conditions were good with a 5kt wind from SSE and no swell.  The boat arranged a tow from a good samaritan.  At 0830 the good samaritan reported that it had the boat under tow.  At 0835hr both vessels were safely back in port.
