Motor – 09/08/2015 – 11:00 to

A 5.6m fibreglass boat with 1 POB reported an engine problem at the 17m mark off the Radio Mast. Sea conditions were calm with 7kt wind from north.  Whakatane Coastguard made an all staions call for assistance and a good samaritan offered to tow the boat back to Whakatane.  Both boats were safely back in port at 1200hr.  Many thanks to the Good Samaritan.
