Motor – 03/22/2015 – 10:40 to

A 4.5m boat with two POB reported motor problems 0.3nm off Thornton Bar via mobile phone.  The weather was good with calm sea and 6kt NE wind. An all stations call was made for assistance and a good samaitan answered and towed the boat to Whakatane.  Many thanks to the good samaritan.
