Motor – 01/30/2016 – 7:10 to

At 0710 a 8m Aluminuim boat with 2 POB called Coastguard Eastern Region about a motor problem 6nm north of Whakatane Bar.  Whakatane Coastguard was notified and Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist. Sea conditions were good with a 5kt wind from the south and no swell. The vessel was under tow at 0812hr and both boats were safely back in port at 0920hr.
