Mechanical problem – 14/12/2025 1730 to 1830 (39)

A boat with 2 POB reported off Kohi Pt with an engine problem and requested assistance. Qn All Stations call was made resulting in a boat offering to assist. However, the boat was unable to make the tow so Whakatane Rescue II was launched and towed the stricken vessel across the Whakatane Bar. A big thank you to the Good Samaritan for offering to help.
