Mechanica lproblem – 12/27/2016 – 14:21 to 15:04

At 1421hrs a boat crossing the Ohiwa Bar reported his engine had stopped and requested assistance.Sea conditions were good with an incoming tide,1m swells and a NW wind 15-20 kts.An All Stations call was unsuccessful so Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist.At 1450 the boat was taken in tow and both boats were at the ramp in Ohiwa Harbour at 1504hrs.
