Kayaks in difficulty – 12/28/2018 – 10:00 to 11:13

A member of the public reported 2 kayakers in difficulty off Murphy’s Motor Camp at Matata. An all stations call resulted in a boat responding. Whakatane Rescue was also tasked to assist. One kayaker made it safely back to the beach while the other one was taken on board the boat responding. A good outcome and a big thank you to the Good Samaritan.
