Kayak in trouble – 12/29/2017 – 12:20 to 12:35

At 1220hrs a member of the public rang to advise that a kayak 2kms off Murphy’s Motor Camp Matata was in trouble and needed assistance.  1 POB.   An All Stations call resulted in a boat responding.  Sea conditions were poor with a 25kts wind from the South.  2 other kyaks launched from Matata to assist and the kayak was back on the beach at 1235hrs.  A successful outcome and a big thank you to the Good Samaritans.
