Fuel problem – 05/06/2017 – 16:16 to 17:01

At 1616hrs a vessel 2km E of Whale Is. reported a fuel problem,  requesting assistance; 2 POB.  A vessel heard the call and responded, taking the affected boat in tow. Sea conditions were good, outgoing tide and a 3-6kts W wind.  A successful tow back to Whakatane at 1701.  Thank you to the Good Samaritan.
