Fuel – 04/30/2016 – 14:57 to 16:48

At 1457hr a 7.8m aluminium boat with 4 POB reported via VHF radio that it had fuel problems and required assistance. The boat was at the 66m mark north of Whale Island. Sea conditions were good with a 7kt wind from SE and little swell. A nearby good samaritan heard the call and offered to tow the boat back to port. At 1526hr the good samaritan reported that it was on-scene and at 1532hr had the boat under tow. At 1648hr both boats were safely back in port. Many thanks to the good samaritan.
