Fuel – 01/17/2015 – 9:19 to

A 10m yacht that was drifting 10nm off Raurimu Islands notified Coastguard that the motor was leaking fuel and it needed a tow to Tauranga.  Sea conditions were slight, wind was 7kt from NNW with medium visibility and 1m swell. Tauranga and Maketu Coastguards were contacted to see if they could help.  Later Tauranga reported that the yacht was making slow progress back to Tauranga under its own sails.
