Engine problem – 11/29/2017 – 9:04 to 9:30

At 0904hrs a boat reported 400m North of Kohi Pt with an engine problem and requested assistance.  2 POB. Sea conditions were good with a calm sea and a NNE wind of 5kts.  An All Stations call resulted in a boat responding.  The vessel was located and taken under tow.  Both boats were safely back in the Whakatane harbour at 0930hrs.  A big thank you to the Good Samaritan.
