Engine problem – 10/06/2017 – 15:07 to 16:52

A boat at the Mussel Farm reported an engine problem and requested a tow back to Whakatane. An All Stations call resulted in a vessel responding.  The boat was taken under tow,  The towing boat later requested another boat take over the tow.  Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist.  The boat being towed managed to get it’s engine started so Whakatane Rescue escorted the boat back to Whakatane.  Both boats arrived safely back in the harbour.
