Engine problem – 08/05/2017 – 10:39 to 12:00

At 1039hrs a boat NW of Whale Is reported an engine problem, requesting assistance.  5 POB.  Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist.  Sea conditions were good with no swell and a 9kt Easterly wind.  The boat was taken under tow and both vessels arrived safely back in port at 1200hrs.
