Engine problem – 07/30/2017 – 12:05 to 14:10

At 1205hrs a boat at Whale Is reported an engine problem and requested assistance.  3 POB.  An unsuccessful All Stations call resulted in Whakatane Rescue being tasked to assist.  Sea conditions were good with no swell and a 5-6 kt wind from the SSE.  The boat was located and taken under tow.  Both boats arrived back in harbour at 1410hrs.
