Engine problem – 07/16/2017 – 13:38 to 15:43

At 1338hrs a boat reported 1nm East of Whale Is with an engine problem and requesting assistance; 2 POB.  Sea conditions were very good with no swell and a 7kt wind from the SW.  A successful “All Stations” was made with 4 boats responding.  The boat’s position was confirmed by GPS as 5nm North of Kohi Pt and 3nm East of Whale Island, located and taken under tow.  Both boats arrived back in the harbour at 1543hrs.  A big thank you to the Good Samaritans that responded.
