Engine problem – 06/17/2017 – 10:44 to 12:30

At 1044hrs a boat reported at the Eastern end of Whale Is with an engine problem requesting assistance; 3 POB.  An unsuccessful “All Stations” was made so Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist.  Sea conditions were good with an incoming tide and a 5kt wind from the SW.  A successful jump start was made and the boat arrived back in the harbour at 1230hrs.
