Engine problem – 04/27/2017 – 14:21 to 14:56

At 1421hrs a vessel reported an engine problem outside the Whakatane Bar, requesting a tow; 2 POB.  An “All Stations” resulted in a vessel responding.  Sea conditions good, an incoming tide, and a 7-9kts wind from the NW.  Successful tow back to Whakatane at 1456.  Thank you to the Good Samaritan.
