Engine problem – 03/03/2023 – 11:10 to 15:05

A boat reported off Walkers Beach with an engine problem and requested a tow back to Whakatane. The call was heard by another boat who offered to help. The stricken vessel was taken under tow to outside the Whakatane Bar and was then towed over the bar by Whakatane Rescue II. A big thank you to the good samaritan.
