Electrical – 12/27/2015 – 9:54 to

A white fibreglass boat anchored 50m off the beach at the Raurimu Islands reported an electrical problem resulting in no power to the motor. Sea conditions were good with a 6-11kt wind from SE and no significant swell. Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist and with a crew of 4 departed at 1028hr. Whakatane Rescue was on site at 1052hr and and helped free the anchor which was stuck fast. The boat was under tow at 1106hr and both boats were safely back in the river at 1131hr.
