At 1547hr a 4.9m fibreglass boat reported that it had problems. The engine was going but it had no power so the boat requested a tow across the bar. Sea conditions were calm with 3-9kt wind from NNW and a low swell.  An all stations call was made and a good samaritan offered to assist. At 1618hr both vessels were safe back in the river.  Many thanks to the good samaritan.
