The CG Radio Operator saw a boat broach and capsize on the Whakatane Bar 2 POB Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist. However the 2 POB were rescued by surfers in the area. Whakatane Rescue was stood down. A great result and a big thank you to the surfers.
