Boat in trouble off Ohiwa – 01/27/2018 – 16:23 to 18:12

A member of the public phoned Coastguard to advise a boat was in trouble in the surf to the west of the Ohiwa Bar.  A “Mayday” call resulted in numerous vessels responding.  The boat was located and towed back to Whakatane.  A big thank you to the the Good Samaritans.
