Battery problem – 11/25/2017 – 7:58 to 10:35

At 0758hrs a boat reported at the East end of Whale Is unable to start the engine and requested assistance.  2 POB. Conditions were good with a SE wind of 2kts.   An All Stations call was made which resulted in a boat responding.  The engine was restarted, however, it stopped again later.  Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist.  The engine was restarted and the boat made it safely back across the Whakatane bar at 1035hrs.  A big thank you to the Good Samaritan.
