Battery problem – 10/30/2016 – 14:40 to 15:30

At 1440hr a call was received from a 6.3m boat with 5 POB.The boat was 1nm off Mcewans Beach with a flat battery and requested assistance.The sea conditions were good with a 4-9kt wind from the SSE and no significant swell.An All Stations call was made and a good samaritan responded.The boat was located and a new battery given to the boat.Initially the boat was taken under tow then managed to proceed under its own power.Both boats were back safely in port at 1530hr.A big thank you to the good samaritan.
