Battery – 05/08/2016 – 14:37 to 15:41

At 1437hr a 5.9m boat with 2 POB reported it had battery problems and could not start the engine. The boat was 1nm north of the Raurimu Islands. Weather conditions were good with 2-5kt wind and a calm sea. An all stations alert was made and two good samaritans offered to assist. However, at 1459hr the boat in distress reported that it had managed to start the motor and at 1541hr was safely back in port. Many thanks to the good samaritans who offering to assist.
