A boat outside the Whakatane Bar had an engine problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was launched and towed the vessel safely back across the bar.
A boat with 3 POB reported North of Whale Is with a mechanical problem and requested assistance. Conditions were good with a slight sea and a 5kt Northerly wind. Whakatane Rescue II was tasked, located the stricken vessel and towed it back to Whakatane.
A vessel with 4 POB broke down off Ohope Beach. Whakatane Rescue II was launched and towed the boat back to Whakatane.
