A vessel north of Kohi Pt reported over heating problems and requested assistance.  Whakatane Rescue was tasked,proceeded to the scene and the boat was towed safely back to Whakatane.
 

A boat reported 600m off Westend at Ohope with an engine problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist, located the boat and towed it back to Whakatane. 

A boat reported 1 km off the Ohiwa Bar with an engine problem and requested a tow. The call was heard by another boat who offered to help. The stricken vessel was taken under tow back to Whakatane.Whakatane Rescue was tasked to take over the tow. Both vessels crossed the  Whakatane Bar and arrived safely back in the harbour.A big thank you to the Good Samaritan.

Whakatane Rescue was tasked by the police to act as a spotter for 3 people stuck on the cliff above Kohi Pt. The people were found and successfully rescued by helicopter.

Maritime NZ tasked Whakatane Rescue to assist a boat that had broken down 6km North of Te Kaha.The boat was located and towed back to Whakatane.
