A commercial fishing boat East of Whale Island reported a crew member with a medical event and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist, located the boat and brought the crew member back to Whakatane.

A boat at Whale Is reported no engine power and requested assistance. The call was heard by another boat who offered to help.The stricken vessel was taken in tow to just outside the Whakatane bar. Whakatane Rescue was then tasked to tow the boat safely across the bar. A big thank you to the good samaritan.

A vessel returning from Waihau Bay back to Tauranga ran out of fuel SW of White Is. Whakatane Rescue delivered fuel to the stricken vessel and accompanied them safely back to Whakatane. 

A vessel 1nm south of Whale Is reported that they had run out of fuel. Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist and delivered fuel out to the boat. Whakatane Rescue then accompanied the boat back safely to Whakatane. 

A jetski rider outside the Opotiki Bar reported motor problems and requested assistance. The call was heard by another vessel who offered to help. The jetski was located and towed safely back across the Opotiki Bar. A big thank you to the Good Samaritan.
