A boat ar the Raurimus Islands reported an engine problem and requested assistance. The call was heard by another vessel. The stricken vessel was located and towed safely back to Whakatane. A big thank you to the good samaritan. 

A vessel North of Whale Is reported gearbox problems. Whakatane Rescue II responded and towed the boat back safely to Whakatane. 

A yacht off the Matata coast reported engine problems. A lack of wind caused the crew to seek assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was tasked to assist and towed the vessel safely back to Whakatane. 

A boat south of Whale Is reported steering failure and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II responded and towed the boat back safely to Whakatane. 

A boat reported SE of the Raurimus with a battery problem and requested a jump start. The call was heard by another vessel who responded. The jump start was successful and the stricken boat returned safely back to Whakatane. A big thank you to the good samaritan.
