A 58ft yacht with 1 POB reported at Whale Is with an engine problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was tasked, located the vessel towed it into the moorage  buoy in  Otarawairere.

Police tasked Whakatane Rescue II to search for a Kite surfboarder off Ohope Beach believed to be in trouble. Nothing was sighted in the search and Whakatane Rescue II was stood down.

A boat reported off Westend Ohope with a steering problem and requested a tow across the bar into Whakatane. Whakatane Rescue II was tasked and towed the boat back to Whakatane.

A boat with 2 POB reported off Ohope with an engine problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was launched and towed the vessel back to Whakatane.

A boat with 1 POB reported off the Thornton River mouth with an electrical problem and requested assistance. Conditions were good with a light wind and slight sea. Whakatane Rescue II was launched, located the boat and towed it back to Whakatane.
