A jetski reported off the Ohope Golf Club with a flat battery requested a jump start. Whakatane Rescue II launched and assisted the jetski, who returned to Ohiwa. Whakatane Rescue II returned to Whakatane. 

A boat reported 1km off the Whakatane Bar with an engine problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was launched,  located the vessel and towed it safely back across the bar.

A boat reported off Ohope with a steering problem and requested assistance. The call was heard by another boat who offered to help and towed the stricken vessel back to Whakatane. A big thank you to the good samaritan.

A boat reported at White Island with àn engine problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was launched, located the vessel and towed it safely back to Whakatane.
